The name "Langhe" refers to a hilly region with a high aptitude for
vine-growing situated in the south-western part of Piedmont. Its
temperate-cold climate with well-defined seasons and various
microclimates, deriving essentially from the valleys between its many and
beautiful hills, offers great possibilities for the cultivation of wine
grapes considered among the best in the world. The grapes produced are
therefore of first rate quality, with particularly fine and intense
aromas. The presence of esters in the wines for ageing is among the
highest in the world. A balanced level of tannins and the presence of good
tannins give structure, balance and longevity to outstanding wines such as
Barolo. |
