In these climatic conditions the vine was
able to vegetate gradually, with an almost total absence of mildew. The
first thinnings were carried out in the vineyard as early as mid-July to
allow the vines to work without too much constriction. Temperatures and
light dropped at the beginning of August, although the water shortage
continued. Then with rain in the middle of August, and again at the end of
the month with rising temperatures, the growth of the vines gathered
vigour, with early ripening of the grapes, and a gradual selection to help
maintain the right quantity.
