the mountain range surrounding them, thus offering great potential for the growing of wine grapes. Added to this climatic situation is a soil that is predominantly calcareous and clayey, which enables the production of grapes that are mainly characterised by a complex of particularly fine and intense fragrances and by a level of well present yet noble tannins that confer body, balance and longevity to truly great and unique wines such as Barolo.
